Öckerö Community Center

Öckerö is a Swedish town situated on an island in the beautiful Gothenburg archipelago. When they needed to present information to the visitors of the newly built community center they turned to Dise reseller, Zander & Bringolm, for a complete solution.

The system has three main usages, it is used for information to visitors outside of the community center, to provide information about current conference room bookings and for news and events. The system is also used as a means of getting information to the public in case of an crisis situation where information need to be reliable and accurate.

The digital signage network is based on one editor computer running Dise DS, three player computers that provide output for LCD screens inside the house and to a projector that displays information on a window based rear projection screen facing the entrance to the builing. The third player computer is located in the city library.

The information is mostly template based and use the Dise tool Dise Update for text update. The Dise Update tool is used by the receptionist who requires none or limited training on the system in order to enter information. The information is applied into predefined templates.

The output of the player computers is routed through the Crestron conference room system which makes it possible to display presentations in the conference room or select which screen will receive the output signal.
