PS Media Group
PS Media Group is a Swedish company that run a digital network of connected screens in public locations and shopping malls. The content is handled from a central editing site and delivered using FTP and broadband connections to all player sites. The content is a mix of news, weather, local information and advertising.

The digital media network has between 200-300 thousand possible viewers per week. The network is entirely based advertising revenue but the actual content is a mix of advertising, information
and news and weather. Both news and weather are updated automatically using layout templates without any need for editorial interaction. News are also video based where a local TV station daily delivers up to date news.

Advertising is mix of video, still images or animations
created in Dise Composer. Each ad is normally 15 seconds long and the entire playlist is about 10 minutes long. Thanks to the scheduling and grouping features of Dise advertisers can select at which location or locations they want their ad to be seen.

All of their screens are controlled from PS Media Group office in Karlstad, using Dise Composer, custom software and Dise
Bridge. Dise Monitor is used to manage the network and alert support staff of any problems that might occur.
Distribution of content to all players is done through FTP over VPN/ADSL connections to all sites.

At each Player site one player is connected to ADSL. Two applications are used to fetch and play back the
scheduled content, Dise Probe and Dise Replay.
Dise Probe mirrors the content on the FTP server at preset time intervals and alerts the Dise Replay application of
new Content. Dise Replay automatically plays the scheduled content 24/7 complete with effects.
A VNC solution is also installed on all Player computers to allow for additional system maintenance.
The VGA output from the player computer is being distributed using VGA over CAT5 technology from Magenta.
