Dise DSM empowers RTV - retail-TV-installation

Dise is a real-time digital signage software package enabling users to create smooth, flicker free, broadcast quality, digital signage channels.

RTV is a Swedish company that manage and run a digital signage TV channel with broadcast quality content. The channel is a mix between news, information and commercials and contains self produced content such as cooking shows, channel bumpers and other editorial media.
RTV has up to 4 different channels per store enabling different content at different areas in the store.

Today RTV has installed Dise DSM in 45 stores. The channel is played on up to 40 Plasma or LCD screens per store making the total installation one of the largest in Scandinavia.

Dise Composer 1.5.5 adds new feature

In our quest to create true broadcast quality digital signage we always try to find improvements to our software that will make your content look better than the rest.

The latest update of DISE (1.5.5) is equipped with a new and very powerful font engine, that allows you to render text in a number of new ways. As before, the font engine supports 3 font formats: Adobe Type 1, OpenType and TrueType.

The main advantages of the new font engine are:

1. Full control over which fonts that should be used in DISE, this can be the same as Windows uses, or a selected list of fonts.
2. Much higher font rendering quality at any size. The fonts will look better.
3. Sub-pixel positioning of fonts, meaning that the distance between characters can be specified in units smaller than one pixel.
4. Fonts can be rendered as Outlined.
5. Fonts can be rendered with effects like Emboss, Blur or extra edge blend. There are 36 different effects to choose from.
6. International Unicode-support.

Dise DSM to Leeds University in UK

Dise has been chosen by Leeds University, UK as the digital signage information tool. The system consists of 1 DSM system, 2 DSM Replay and 7 SL Replay to be used throughout the University complex.

The system will be used to display information targeted to students and employees at the University.

User interface translation

One of the new features of Dise is the possibility to have different languages in the user interface. This opens up Dise to a whole group of people that want to use Dise but have problem understanding the user interface. Different languages will be added in the near future. All available languages will be stored within the application enabling the user to change language by just clicking a button.
