What is Dise?

Dise is a professional presentation software that makes it possible to control, create and present information on different types of screens. Dise is made up of three parts, Composer, Bridge and Replay, which are packaged and sold in different versions.

What are the versions of Dise and how do they differ?

There are two basic editions of Dise. These are the Dise LS and Dise DS editions.

The LS edition contains the Dise Composer and Dise Replay that enables you to edit and playback content on the same PC.
The DS edition contains the Dise Composer, Dise Bridge, Dise Probe and Dise Replay applications that enables you to have central editing of content and distribution to remote Players.

What are the possible uses for Dise?

Dise can be used whenever you have some type of information that you want to present on any type of screen. Dise has been built on an open ended solution which makes it easy to adept to different setups. This makes the list of possible application very large.

Some of the possible uses for Dise are

visitor channel, Cable TV, School TV, Hotel TV, in store TV, internal information. big screen advertising.

Can I import images into my presentations?

Yes. Dise supports most common image formats.

Can I Playback Video files in my presentations?

Yes! Dise supports most common video formats. (Some video files may require the installation of a third party codes).

What are the scheduling capabilities of Dise?

All objects including scenes and presentations can be scheduled. Scheduling rules include Scheduling rules include weekday, dates and times. Scheduling rules can be combined with and/or logics so that very complicated scheduling can be made. You can also schedule an object to be shown on a specific location.

Can I connect and read data from a database?

Yes! The Dise Database Access tool makes it possible to connect to databases such as MySQL and to read data from tables at run time.

Can I playback video streams?

Yes! Dise supports playback of Windows Media Video streams on the HTTP and MSS protocol.

Can I use Live Video Input?

YYes! You can use a Firewire camera, capture card or a webcam as a source for live video input into Dise. Contact us for more information and suitable capture cards.

Can I Show HTML pages and other WEB formats?

Yes ! It is possible to display both complete web pages and separate images from web server. It is also possible to read text files or similar information directly from a web server.

Is it possible to use TCP/IP networks to communicate with remote players?

Yes! The Bridge and Probe applications communicate through FTP or using Shared Network Folders.

What solutions can be created with Dise?

You can create automatic TV channels, digital advertising billboards, digital signage systems for timetables, Hotel and conference room channels. The list can be made very long. With Dise it is possible to create many types of solutions.

What are the network options in Bridge?

You can install and use different way of communication with each Player. These include FTP, and Shared Network Folders.

Is it possible to play different presentations on different parts of the screen?

Yes! The Replay application can play different content on different areas of the screen and even on transparent layers.

Can I update the Player from multiple locations?

Yes! Several people can update the information in many different ways.
The easiest way to input information is to use the dynamic data features which takes data from text files, databases or automatic systems and present with a predefine page template. This means that different people can update the information without having any knowledge of the Editor or the system as a whole.

Other ways of updating the content include the ability to have multiple play lists from multiple locations. Different people can also have their own play back area on the screen.

An example: A system consists of a network of plasma screens located in retail stores. The basic information is provided by the head office, additional presentations are provided by the regional offices and day by day information such as opening hours are handled by the local office. This information is mixed at the player site and presented to the viewer as a unity with the same look and feel.

Support information

Why should I register my product?

When you register, your serial number is recorded into our database. This allows us to verify the number for you if it has been lost. Registered users also get access to our Support Web system and can receive special software offers and notifications of product upgrades and updates.
